Andy (Andrew Boone) was in grad school at Southern Illinois University, (he was very interested in China and Japan and had taken both Chinese and Japanese in college and was the President of the Asian Club) he met a Japanese woman who was traveling around the US giving talks at Universities, for her Japanese government. She had gone to both University of Michigan and the University of Minnesota. They were married in Carbondale, Il and soon afterwards moved to Japan. Andy to teach English for a year, and she to work as a translator. That was 24 years ago and he has been there ever since. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last, but they did have two beautiful daughters together. Jessica 23, and Ruli 22. Andy is now married to Chisato, also Japanese. She is an architect and a lovely lady.
