Samuel Lee Williams

   Cause of his death was Gun Shot.

  General Notes:

Samuel Lee Williams served in the Civil War on the confederate side and was killed. He was killed by bushwhackers by Premont, Mo area or Boylers Mill area southwest of Stover, Missouri. Samuel Lee's children found his body. Some men said there was a deer killed there and when the kids got there they found Samuel their dad dead from a gun shot wound. He may have been buried at Mt Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Morgan County, Mo. This history was told to me by Roy Lee Gehlken (b. 1913 MO) as he remembered it being told to him as a child growing up. This story was told to Roy by David Williams (his grandfather), son of Samuel Lee Williams.
