I'm not related that much to the Gehlken's but have data for most of the German families in Benton-Morgan-Pettis Counties, and am 90% certain all Gehlken's in that area descend from Heinrich & Becke (Blohm) Gehlken who came to USA 1840 and settled Morgan County, Missouri.

Heinrich married Becke "Rebecca" Blohm, daughter of Unknown Blohm and Unknown, on 30 Nov 1838 in Altenbülstedt, Hanover, Germany. (Becke "Rebecca" Blohm was born on 21 Dec 1818 in Altenbülstedt, Hanover, Germany and died after 1881 in Smithton, Pettis County, Missouri.)
