Stuart "Stu" Marlin Kajfas, 59, passed from this life August 30,2005 at Malcolm Randall Veteran’s Hospital in Gainesville, Ga. due to complications from surgery. He had been in remission from cancer until another tumor was discovered in July. August 22, the doctors found they were unable to remove the new tumor or biopsy it but had all hopes of recovery. All were shocked at his passing so quickly.
Born May 15, 1946 in San Francisco, California, Stu lived the first part of his life in California. After high school, he joined the Army. After he completed his 7th year, he was discharged with honors. He married afterwards which produced his son, Jason. He divorced several years later. Stu met his wife Lila and they wed in 1982. As the song goes, He was her knight in shining armour and she was his lady. Stu adopted her son Eric for his own.
Moving to Valdosta in 1984, Stu owned TV Electronics until 1991. He also worked on televisions for Leo’s TV and Appliances until they discontinued that service. With over 30 years of TV/VCR repair experience, he decided to return to school and graduated Val-Tech’s computer program with top honors in 2002. Stu was attending VSU and was working at the VSU Computer Information Help Desk just prior to his recent illness.
