Warren Atkinson Notes on Jacob Creth Chrism:
Death certificates of Columbia Ann and Salathiel and the 1910 Oklahoma, OK., census for Thomas Marion Chism show them born in Texas, as Mary Alice was Thomas' twin, she would also have been born there and thus, this census is in error in that respect. We know the family moved to Texas, and there is a Creth/Crith and Nancy Chism shown in the Timber Creek Twp of Hunt CO., TX, in the 1870 Federal Census. The given names of the children are different and one child is missing (Priscilla died young), but there are two sets of twins shown, both of the right ages to have been J. C. and Nancy's family; which had three know sets of twins. There is no other Chism family found in the 1860 or 1880 censuses matching the family shown in the 1870 Hunt CO, census, and I am certain this was J. C. and Nancy.
Nancy is shown a widow in the 1880 census, so the best estimate on Jacob Creth's death is aft.1872, in Texas
Jacob Creth Chism, wife Nancy and family were in Timber Creek Twp of Hunt CO, Texas during the 1870 Federal Census. The census taker really screwed up on the names of the children, he listed the head if family as Creth Chisom.

Jacob married Nancy Williams, daughter of Giles Lee Williams and Jane Burch, on 25 Nov 1855 in Morgan County, Missouri. (Nancy Williams was born on 7 Dec 1828 in Cooper County, Missouri, died on 26 Oct 1907 in Jackson County, Oak Grove, Mo and was buried in Lone Jack, Mo.)
